Dear traveler, if you're wondering which company to use for your trip to Peru, I want to share my experience with Hiker. We contacted Cristiam because a friend of my partner had traveled to the same country some time before. At that time, we told him about our travel plans: which places we wanted to visit and what activities we wanted to do. He made suggestions tailored to what we were looking for to ensure a better experience. This allowed us to finalize the itinerary we ultimately followed. The hotels where we stayed were all in excellent locations, allowing us to do our own activities or choose our own places to have dinner when there were no more scheduled activities. All the hotels offered delicious and varied breakfasts, and all had water heating available in the rooms or lobby. We used this service a lot to make coca or muña tea. This was very helpful for acclimatizing to the altitude. As for the guides, they all provided us with valuable insights into each place we visited. These were private excursions, meaning just the two of us plus the guide, as well as group tours. The group activities mostly took place during the day, traveling from one location to another and exploring different sites. Depending on the group's composition, the guides spoke the appropriate languages, so understanding explanations wasn't a problem. In addition to visiting key points in each location according to the itinerary and getting our bearings in each town, the local guides gave us recommendations for the best restaurants and typical dishes, as well as strategies for acclimatizing to the altitude. (Pharmacies sell natural supplements that are very helpful, so don't worry about this beforehand, as you can buy them in the town before you reach the altitude.) Regarding transportation: we only took one night bus from Nazca to Arequipa on a regular bus operated by a Peruvian company. In our case, it was to make the most of the night while traveling the long distance between towns. The bus was incredibly comfortable and safe, allowing us to get a good night's rest so we could continue with our planned activities the next day. Then, at every location we needed to go to, there was always a driver who picked us up wherever we were, so we didn't have to travel on our own. The vehicles are excellent—spacious and comfortable. Everyone was very kind and punctual, and each one made us feel safe on every trip. I especially want to highlight our driver, Roger, as we spent three days with him. In addition to providing safe and comfortable transportation, he shared parts of his life and knowledge about the places we were passing through, including his family's recipes and some of his life story. Cristian communicated with us every day, several times a day. He sent us activities, recommendations, and schedules for the following day, and during the day he made sure everything went according to plan. He was available to us at all times. Peru is a destination you have to experience, and our experience with Hiker was excellent, that's why I recommend it.

We’ve just came back from an amazing trip in Peru and we are nothing but grateful that this time we have found the right and perfect agency tour that arranged our trip in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu. It has been an incredible experience, especially tailored to our needs and expectations. We were hoping to visit authentic places away from the crowd of tourists that you will find everywhere and that would meet at some point because all of them do the same route. Our hopes were not only meet but have been exceeded! The first place we didn’t expect to visit but we were so happy about was Manos de la Comunidad where you can feed and pet alpacas, llamas, vicuñas and huacanas along with a well spoken guide. After that you can also buy authentic alpaca and vicuña products. Afterwards we visited Pisaq, then a little stop to taste Cuy (guinea pig with some of us liked and others didn’t ), Maras, Moray(we were the only ones there, so peaceful and memorable) and finally Ollantaytambo where we staid overnight. The day after we went to Aguas Calientes by train (all arranged by the agency) and the day after we visited Machu Picchu Circuit 2 guided by a really qualified guide whose name is Esmeralda. Afterwards we proceeded to hike the Wayna Picchu (that you agree long before your trip). All our trip has been arranged by Christian, with whom we kept contact because some friends of ours want to travel to Peru soon and we honestly couldn’t recommend any better. Excellent team! My children and I were able to enjoy Mapuche (MAPI), the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain, and a well-organized city tour!
